Tyler Christopher, Star Of General Hospital And Days Of Our Lives, Dead At 50

Tyler Christopher — real name Tyler Christopher Baker — was born on November 11, 1972, and by 1996, he was a household name. Landing the role of Nikolas Cassadine on “General Hospital” opened up all kinds of prospects for him, specifically in the small screen world. He notably played Stefan DiMera for 160 episodes on “Days of Our Lives,” in addition to making one-off appearances on celebrated programs like “Charmed,” “Angel,” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” to name a few. However, Christopher was more than just an actor.

According to Maurice Benard in his Instagram post dedicated to Christopher, his heart was in the right place behind the scenes. “Tyler was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol,” Benard wrote. Christopher frequently took time to express his adoration for his two children, Greysun and Boheme, as well. His Instagram page is full of posts about them, some expressing pride over their recent accomplishments and others simply sharing his love for them.

Through his acting, advocacy, and parenting, Tyler Christopher left as positive an impact on the world as he possibly could. May he rest in peace.
